I plan on returning to school next fall to get a BA in Art. I am about to graduate with a BA in History.
I have taken a drawing and non-darkroom photo course, and I'm in a painting class right now. I haven't really been making much art the past few years (so my skills are pretty crummy right now), and now that I have been again with this painting class it just totally reminded me how much FUN I have making art, and I just have to pursue this and see what happens. I mean, I dread even reading my history homework, or thinking about it, but for this art class (and all the other ones I've been in) I put SO MUCH extra time, effort, and energy in to it. I have never put that kind of energy into my other studies and I think that I need to listen to that--however cheesy that sounds. Now that I've decided this I'm trying to keep active creatively, and not succumb to apathy/stagnation--which is pretty easy in Humboldt Co.
